Nedschroef as your new employer

Nedschroef is a prominent company in the fastening technology industry. They specialize in manufacturing high-quality fasteners for the automotive and aerospace sectors, operating across multiple locations worldwide. To achieve this, they also design and produce the machines responsible for production of these parts.

Established in 1894 in Helmond, the Netherlands, they have grown into a world leader in automotive, industrial, and aviation fasteners, alongside their production of high-quality metal forming machines. With over 2,300 passionate team members across 20 global locations, they are a melting pot of innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence.

Your role as Secondary Process Engineer

As Secondary Processing Engineer, you will be a pivotal part of our Secondary Processing Engineering Team, playing a crucial role in ensuring optimal production performance. Within the department, several CNC controlled finishing processes come together, namely machining (on Mazak and Winema multi-spindle machines), cylindrical grinding, wire rolling and assembly (on a fully robotic assembly line). Robots from Fanuc and ABB are used in the assembly line. This involves high-volume production with relatively low takt times. The semi-finished products arriving at the department are manufactured using a cold forming process.
In this role you have to take into account the possibilities and limitations of specific machines. When receiving a Request for Quotation (RFQ), you are able to assess whether a part can be produced on the available machines and, on the other hand, you are able to assess what cannot be realized by adjusting tolerances or by adjusting machines. In addition, you are responsible for performing pFMEAs and setting up changeover procedures. You also collaborate to realize improvements to production methods. A future goal is also to introduce CAM simulation software in coordination with the central holding. Thus, your work will be a combination of optimizing existing processes and new part introduction specifically for secondary processing (or post-processing). You report directly to the local Operations Manager.

Your profile

You have a hands on mentality. You are able to work independently on specific assignments. You are easy going, able to find you own way. Furthermore, you have great communication skills and are able to work well in a team.

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar working experience, preferably an education in the direction of mechanical engineering, metal or related.
  • Knowledge and skills regarding shape- and placement tolerances and common means of measurement.
  • Experience with pFMEA.
  • CNC programming experience.
  • Experience with CAM simulation is a plus.
  • Experience with Fanuc and ABB robots is a plus.
  • Proficient in Dutch and English. German is a plus.
